Moss erradication is underway!

We are starting to attack the moss problem on the greens.  Our plan is to implement a couple of different programs that have been successful throughout the country.  There is a product that came out a few years ago that I have had success with at another course.  This product will be used to spot treat the greens that aren't as severe as others.  The greens that have higher moss populations will have to be treated a little differently to avoid disruption in putting quality.  Unfortunately, this is going to be a slow process but I am confident from my experiences with moss that it can be done away with almost completely.

What will happen?  The geens that have spots that aren't concentrated to certain sections will have small voids, but will fill in with grass once the moss is dead. The turf around the moss that is treated will discolor, but don't be alarmed it's normal and will recover after several days.  The moss will slowly decline and grass will slowly take over on the greens that have much higher moss populations.

I am dedicated to eliminating the moss, but it will take time.  The moss didn't come in overnight and it sure won't be gone overnight.  This is going to take time, but it is completely manageable.
