Course conditions

As winter lingers on, there have been several days where I could assess the golf course. The greens, tees and fairways show no signs of snow mold and appear to be in very good condition. The practice putting green has had some water accumulation due to a frozen drain and will continue to be pumped off to allow the turf to breath and release any gas build up.

The maintenance staff is working on equipment and course accessories to prepare them for this coming golf season. We have done some things to our sprayer to get it in very good operating condition. The entire spray boom has been rebuilt and has new valves, hoses and nozzles. Although turf sprayers are not used daily they are arguably one of the most critical pieces of equipment in the fleet.

There are several trees that have been taken down on hole number one and we will be taking down some more trees on number two as well.
