We have been taking out a lot of the dead trees around the course, especially on hole #3. Also, #18 has a really nice white oak that was hidden by other scrubby dead trees. We took out the dead ones to expose the white oak and will eventually maintain the area around the tree like common rough. I think it will look great from #17 tees and will look a lot nicer when you are on #18 tees.
Our plan is to remove all the dead trees that are on the property but it will take time. We will grind the stumps down and add seed and soil to fill in the are that had a tree with grass.
