Our Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Christopher Bertrand has accepted a position with Vargo Golf group. I have had the opportunity to work along side Chris for over 7 years. Chris started out as a general member of my crew at Copper Hills Golf and Country Club. Chris showed great interest and passion for the turf industry. When an assistant's position became available he was promoted. When I came to Metamora in the spring of 2011, I wanted Chris to join me. Chris now has an opportunity to join a company that manages several golf courses. Chris has done an excellent job for us and was a big part of the changes that were made to improve Metamora.
